Sunset in Carmel - oil

Little weekend trip to Carmel turned out to be a very inspiring. I enjoyed our walks through the town and photos and memories blended into this picture. I love the underpainting drip. It was fun to do and it gives the painting the right feel.

Summer on the Beach - oil 12"x16"

Today was a beautiful summer day. I was planning to paint something abstract, but as I started, the painting took on its own forms and shapes and I ended up with a celebration of summer and beach.

Tuscany (my favorite theme) - oil 6"x6"

I keep coming back to this Tuscany picture. It has wonderful warm colors and I wish I could be there.

Beach - oil 6"x6"

After painting large beach, which seemed somewhat challenging I was ready to play and painted tiny painting. So much fun. This one is really loose and playful.

Carmel Beach 3 - oil 30"x30"

I enjoyed painting the beach so much that I decided to take a deep breath and paint a large version. I love the colors in the ocean and in the sand. The ocean has wonderful blues that play into greens and purples and the same range goes on in the sand but in a very subtle way. On top of it I always love painting the sky, so what is not to love on a beach painting :)
